I am very glad to send this letter in name of all members of Mongolian
Green Party and wish you greens success in implementing our common goal to build the ecological wisdom in our world.
First of all I would like to write some sentences about the Green Party of Mongolia. Our party was grounded in 1990 as one of the new parties
after democratic changes in Mongolia and also as first Green Party in Asia. Since 1996 until 2000 we were in the governing coalition with
Mongolian Social Democrat Party, Mongolian National Democrat Party and Mongolian Democrat Religion Party and during this time worked
concentrated for approving the law basis to nature protection in Mongolia. The parliamentarian election in June this year was very hard
for democratic parties of Mongolia. Our party is in coalition with Citizen Courage Party of Mongolia and the leader of this party Ms. S. Oyun in
parliament as one of 4 members from democratic movement of Mongolia.
The Mongolian Greens has about 6000 members and we are working on
improving the local branches of the party. The party approved last Assembly the strategic direction of our party and declared, that the
MGP, as a supreme political organization, will pursue a political struggle for the interests of nature within the framework of the Mongolian
constitution and based on the laws of equality and democracy. The Party will actively participate in the struggle for democracy, freedom and
human rights as well as being steadfastly committed to the fight against religious, national or racial discrimination and dictatorial social orders.
We give also much attention on developing international relations with green parties and movements of world for developing co-operation to
learn the experiences for supporting nature protection activities. Our party supports the aim of the world's greeners to become a united
political force with the purpose of eradicating the crisis, which appeared between the natural environment and society, by joint actions. We
aspire to a lively exchange of information's in the field of natural environment and demand the formation of an international system in it.
