In April 2001, 800 people from 70 countries met in Canberra Australia for the first ever gathering of the
Global Greens. In three emotional, exhilarating and exhausting days, delegates from around the world adopted the Global Greens Charter and resolved to establish the Global Greens
Coordination and Network, tangible steps to building this new global movement. The Global Greens 2001 conference was preceded by the first ever Global Young Greens
meeting in Sydney and the Rio+10 International Workshop in Canberra.Together these three events are helping shape Green politics and so world politics for the whole of this new century.
Join us if you share our optimism. Be part of creating a more humane, peaceful and ecologically just world through our commitment to act globally as well as locally. |
